2027 Winter Allocations

Supporting Programs That Strengthen Indiana County

United Way of Indiana County's Winter Allocations provide funding for local nonprofit organizations that help people in our community. Each year, we support programs that meet important needs and improve the lives of Indiana County residents.

The 2027 Winter Allocation application period opens November 2, 2026, and closes January 18, 2027.

Investing in Our Community

At United Way of Indiana County, we believe everyone deserves the chance to live a healthy and stable life. By working with local nonprofits, we help provide services that make a difference for individuals and families.

Our Winter Allocations focus on five key areas of need:

  • Housing Instability & Homelessness: Helping people facing housing challenges.
  • Food Insecurity: Supporting programs that help families access food.
  • Transportation Barriers: Helping residents get to work, appointments, and other essential services.
  • Mental & Behavioral Health Needs: Supporting access to mental health care and services.
  • Child Care & Youth Support: Helping children and families get the support they need.

These focus areas help guide our funding decisions. They also help us direct resources where they are needed most.

Making a Difference Together

Our Winter Allocation process brings local volunteers and community leaders together to review funding requests. Each application is carefully considered based on community needs, program goals, and the impact it can make.

We want to support programs that create positive change and provide real results for the people they serve.

Apply for Winter Allocations

Eligible nonprofit organizations are encouraged to apply for 2027 Winter Allocations. Funding is available for programs that serve Indiana County residents and address at least one of our five focus areas.

Together, we can build a stronger community where more people have the opportunity to thrive.
