COMPASSION IN ACTION
SUPPORT OUR 2026-2027 UNITED WAY CAMPAIGN

A LETTER FROM OUR CAMPAIGN CHAIR
On a warm summer evening, there is something special about walking down Philadelphia Street in downtown Indiana. The storefronts glow with soft light, families drift from shop to shop, friends gather for dinner, and laughter carries down the sidewalks. It’s the kind of scene that reminds us why we love calling Indiana County home.
Behind the warmth of those moments, though, are the unseen threads that hold a community together—neighbors helping neighbors and quietly stepping forward when someone needs a hand. That spirit is exactly what the United Way of Indiana County represents.
As this year’s Campaign Chair, I am honored to invite you to be part of that work.
Every day across Indiana County, United Way partners with local organizations that support families in crisis, provide meals to seniors, help children succeed in school, and offer stability to people who simply need a chance to get back on their feet. These are not distant causes; they involve our friends, our coworkers, and our neighbors.
What makes United Way special is simple: when our community gives together, we accomplish far more than any of us could alone.
A single contribution becomes tutoring for a child who needs help learning to read. It becomes meals for a senior who might otherwise go hungry. It becomes a lifeline for a family navigating an unexpected hardship.
When you give to United Way, you are investing directly in the strength and compassion of Indiana County.
This year, we invite you to join us in that effort. Whether you give, volunteer, or help spread the word, your participation matters. Each act of generosity strengthens the network of care that makes this community such a remarkable place to live.
Imagine that summer evening on Philadelphia Street again—the lights, the laughter, the feeling that this is a place where people truly look out for one another. Together, we can make sure that feeling extends to every neighbor in Indiana County.
