Turkeython Breaks All Records!
Bill Otto of Renda Broadcasting's Bill Otto's Oldies Attic on 1160/WCCS, host of the annual Turkeython which raises funds for families to help them put something special on their tables for the holiday season, announced Monday that this year's event was a record-breaker! The final total of $33,882 flew past last year's total by more than $7,000, and surpassed all other Turkeythons to-date, according to Mr. Otto. "This is a tribute to the generous people of Indiana. They responded to several needs with just one pledge. I am extremely grateful for the wonderful response," he added. The Turkeython is brought to the Indiana Community each holiday season to benefit United Way of Indiana County and to help provide much needed food during the holidays for those facing very tough times here in Indiana County.
