Indiana Regional Medical Center and United Way of Indiana County / 2011 Pancake and Sausage Day
It was time once again to 'rise and shine' at the annual Pancake and Sausage Day sponsored by United Way of Indiana County (UWIC) and Indiana Regional Medical Center (IRMC)! All day long on November 1, volunteers from throughout Indiana County served pancakes, buckwheat pancakes, French toast and sausage in IRMC's cafeteria. More than $5,800 was raised, a substantial increase over the 2010 event! Proceeds benefitted United Way of Indiana County's 2011 Campaign which kicked off September 14. The campaign helps to support 16 partner agencies that provide needed services through 25 programs serving residents of Indiana County.
Special thanks go to the Indiana Regional Medical Center, CURA Hospitality, Volunteer Coordinators Kathy Mensch and Marilyn Dilg, Aramark at IUP, Romeo's Pizza & Mediterranean Kitchen, Turner Dairy, Evergreen Garden Club, Indiana County Rotary and Patrick Dougherty. In addition, IndiGo offered free transportation on its Route 5 Orange all day to and from IRMC.
